The UNIVENETO Foundation was established in November 2011. The four Universities of Veneto are founding members; Confindustria Veneto is also currently participating as a member. The Foundation's mission is to promote and coordinate the training and research activities offered by the Veneto university system and to develop its relations with public institutions, economic bodies and the business system. To encourage and support the territory in participating in actions and project proposals for research and innovation and enhance the results of research, the Board of Directors of the Foundation has prepared, by appointing a specific committee, a plan of action in the region where UNIVENETO plays the role of coordination and representation of the Universities of Veneto and liaising with local authorities and businesses in actions on the European structural and social funds and national funds for research, innovation and development of the territory. UNIVENETO will participate in the management of the network, will assist the coordinator in the management of the organizational aspects (OO 1.1-1.5) and will contribute with the partners to the actions of communication and support to the network (AC 1.1-1.5). It will be a member of the Consortium's governing body.
UNIVERSITY OF PADOVA - HIT HUMAN INSPIRED TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH CENTRE The HIT research center founded in 2013 by the Departments of General Psychology, Information Engineering, Mathematics, Psychology of Social Development is now attended by over 50 colleagues from 9 departments of the University of Padua. HIT works in a "user centric" perspective in research and design-development-assessment technologies, combining cognitive and social sciences that provide information about people with hard sciences that allow to develop advanced solutions and products. Some topics of interest for the center are smart cities and the use of ICT in living environments, assistive and rehabilitative technologies, human-computer interaction (user experience, accessibility, information visualization...), information security, big data. HIT boasts project experience in the FP7 and H2020 European calls and collaborations with the most prestigious companies in the technology sector. In the network, the centre plays the role of scientific coordinator and is involved in the development of OR 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, OR 2 as a whole and OR 3.4 and 3.5. It also contributes to the development of network support actions, in particular for scientific dissemination and networking in the AC 1.2, 1.3, 1.5
UNIVERSITY CÀ FOSCARI DI VENEZIA, Department of Informatics - ACADIA and KIIS research centres, ECLT. The ACADIA and KIIS centres carry out research and technological transfer activities in relation to the design of reliable systems, the development of techniques for the analysis and verification of software, the design of methods and tools for the protection of systems and data from attacks on security and privacy, the testing of innovative solutions in the field of smart cities and e-government, the development of data intensive systems and techniques of data mining, machine learning and computer vision. The LivingTechLab of the ECLT center studies in particular technologies that have an impact on human life at different levels: from the molecular to the social and cultural, through the study of organizational aspects and control that emerge from evolutionary processes. In the network, the ACADIA, KIIS and ECLT centres play a role of scientific support and are committed to the development of OR 1.1 and 1.2, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1 and 3.4. They also contribute to dissemination and scientific networking activities in AC 1.2 and 1.5.
